Took this shot a little while ago. It's the sort of thing that could be used in publicity material by the restaurateur of these specific premises, or by travel companies bringing people to the city and hoteliers providing accommodation. It could equally be used by national and local government bodies, promoting tourism in the region in general. For me, it is just a beautiful photograph, capturing a bit of the history of the old part of Ghent. I enjoy the juxtaposition of the weathered looked on the frontage with the hard-working chef just nipping out for a breather, and their interaction with the various bits of foliage and reflections from across the street.
I undertake photography for commerce, industry and for general use in Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire - further afield by negotiation.
